CALCULATION OF ABSORPTION RATE CONSTANT FROM AVERAGE ABSORPTION RATE DATA

This paper describes the Use of average absorption rate instead of the% remaining to be absorbed to determine the absorption rate constant (K_a) of drugs after extravascular administration. The results agreed well both with that given by a digital computer using non-linear least square method and with that checked with the literature data. The influence of observation period using this method on calculating K_a value is negligible.
