Abstract
A new secoiridoid type compound was isolated from the water extract of the bark of Syringa amurensis Rupr. Its structure has been deduced by combined application of MS, HRMS, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, IR and UV spectroscopic analysis and derivatives preparation. It is a six member ring compound, with an etheno-ether linkage, named as methyl syramuraldehydate
