STUDIES ON URANIUM MOBILIZATION DRUGS: SYNTHESIS OF TWO NEW TYPES OF PHOSPHONIC ACID CHELATING AGENTS
-
Abstract
Two series of chelating agents containing phosphonic acid and phenolic moieties Ⅲ, 2-(bisphosphonomethyl)-aminomethyl-4-substituted phenols and Ⅳ, N-(substituted phenylcarbamoylmethyl)-N-phosphonomethyl glycines were synthesized and the effect on the elimination of uranium from the body was evaluated. Three of them(Ⅲf, Ⅳh and Ⅳj) were shown to be more effective than tiron or phosphicine in accelerating uranium excretion in rats.
