STRUCTURE DETERMINATION OF TRICHOSANATINE FROM TRICHOSANTHES ROSTHORNII

A new alkaloid named trichosanatine was isolated fromlipophilic extract of the pericarp of Trichosanthes rosthornii Harms. The structure was elucidated as,3-(1-phenyl)ethylideneamino-2-hydroxy-propyl α-(benzoylamino)-benzenepropanoate(Ⅰ) on the basis of spectral data.
