STUDIES ON CONSTITUENTS OF WENEZHU (Curcuma aromatica Salise)

  • Wen-ezhu, which is cultivated in Wenzhou district of Zhejiang province, is a species of Gurcuma plants. The essential oil of the rhizomes of Wen-ezhu has been shown to possess anti-tumor activity. We have identified constituents as follows α-pinene, β-pinene, camphene, 1,8-cineole, isofuranogermacrene, borneol, isoborneol, camphor, germacrone, tetrarnethy lpyrazine.
