    Abstract

  • A new phenolic glycoside was isolated from the spikes of Prunella vulgaris.  Its structure was elucidated as gentisic acid 5-O-β-D-(6'-salicylyl)-glucopyranoside by spectroscopic evidence and chemical analysis.
