ISOLATION AND IDENTIFICATION OF WUBANGZISIDE C FROM POLYGALA CAUDATA REHD ET WILS

By polyamide and silica gel chromatography, a new xanthone C-glycoside, wubangziside C(Ⅰ), was isolated from the n-butanolie fraction of the ethanolic extract of the bark and root bark of Polygala caudata Rehd et Wils.On the basis of chemical properties and spectroscopic (IR, UV, MS, ¹H-and ¹³C-NMR) analysis, the structure of Wubangziside C(Ⅰ), C₂₅H₂₈O₁₅, mp 232～4℃, α_D²²±79° (c, 1.01, 50%MeOH), waselucidated to be 1,3,7-trihydroxy xanthone-2,4-C-di-β-D-glucopyranoside.
