    Abstract
  • A new pentacyclic triterpenoid saponin,lucyoside Q,has been isolated from theleaves of Luffa cylindrica along with apigenin. Its structure was established as 21β-hydroxyloleanoicacid-28-O-β-D-glucopyranoside based on spectral evidence and chemical methods.
