CHEMICAL STUDIES ON ACTIVE PRINCIPLES OF VERATRUM STENOPHYLLUM Ⅲ.STUDIES ON THE STRUCTURE OF β₁-CHACONINE AND THE PARTIAL STRUCTURES OF STENOPHYLLINE C AND STENOPHYLLINE D

β₁-Chaconine (Ⅴ₁₂), stenophylline C (Ⅴ₁₀) and stenophylline D (Ⅴ₁₄) were isolated from Veratrum stenophyllum Diels. The structure of β₁-chaconine and the partial structures of stenophylline C and stenophylline D were elucidated on the basis of chemical and spectrometric data (UV, IR, ¹HNMR, ¹³CNMR, MS). β₁-Chaconine has not been found previously in veratrum plants. Stenophylline C and stenophylline D have not been reported.
