STUDIES ON THECHEMICAL CONSTITUENTS OF RANUNCULUS TERNATUS THUNB

Eight compounds were isolated from the tuber of Ranunculus ternatus Thunb..Six of them were identified bychemical and spectrcopic analysis as myristic acid octadecyl ester(I) ,eicosanoic acid(II ),stigmasterol(III),β-sitosterol(IV),γ-keto-δ-valerolactone (VI ) and a mixture of D-glucopyranoside of stigmasterol andβ-sitosterol ( VIII). VI is a new compound, named ternatolide, IV and VIII were found from this plant for the first time.
