CHEMICAL STUDIES ON RABDOSIA STRACHEYI (BENTH EX HOOK F) HARA

From the dried leaves and stems of Rabdosia stracheyi (Benth ex Hook. f) Hara. three compounds were isolated. One of them is a new diterpenoid quinone. Its structure was identified as 16-acetoxy-7a-methoxyroyleanone (Ⅰ), on the basis of physico-chemical constants, spectroscopic analysis and properties of the derivatives. The others were shown to be known compounds, 6,7-dehydroroyleanone and β-sitosterol.
