Abstract

(+) Demethoxy-eleutherol and (±) demethoxy-eleutherin were synthesized for studying the relationship between structure and coronary dilation activity. The structures of the two compounds and intermediates were confirmed by means of IR, MS and ¹HNMR. Preliminary pharmacological experiments showed no activity for the two compounds.
