TUMOUR CHEMOTHERAPY——ⅩⅩⅩⅩⅢ SYNTHESES OF SOME NITRO-TRYPTOPHANS AND THEIR RELATIVE COMPOUNDS

It was reported that derivatives of nitro-trypophan possessed inhibitory activity on Hella celis cultured on tissue culture and some plant growth regulators were active against Sarcoma-180 in mice. In the present inyestigation, some derivatives of nitrotryptophans Ⅲa-c, nitro-indole acetic acids Ⅳa-h and nitro-tryptamines Ⅴa-i and Ⅵa-b, related to plant growth regulators were prepared.Compound Ⅲ a showed inhibiting action against Sarcoma-180 in mice and compound Ⅵa and Ⅵb exhibited marked Hela cell tissue culture inhibitory activity.
