STUDIES ON THE ALKALOIDS OF HUPERZIA SERRATA (THUNB.) TREV.

Three alkaloids were isolated from Huperzia serrata (Tunb.) Trev. Two of them were identified as known alkaloids huperzine B(Ⅰ) and N-methyl huperzine B(Ⅲ), respectively. The third alkaloid Ⅱ was found to be a new compound named huperzinine. Its structure was confirmed on the basis of chemical and spectral data (UV, IR, NMR, MS).
