THE APPLICATION OF DIFFUSE REFLECTANCE SPECTRA IN STUDYING THE STABILITY OF SOLID DRUGS

The effect of temperature and light on the stability of sodium p-aminosalicylate was studied. Diffuse reflectance measurements were used to measure color change after an accelerated aging test to determine kinetic parameters and to screen tablet formulations. Diffuse reflectance spectra provides a simple means of studying the solid-solid interaction.
