MORPHOLOGICAL AND HISTOLOGICAL STUDIES ON THE CHINESE MEDICINAL ACONITE ROOTS OF XUESHANGYIZHIHAO GROUP

This paper reports the morphological and histological studies of the roots of seven Aconitum species all known as Xueshang yizhihao, viz., Aconitum brachypodum Diels, A. nagarum var. lasiandrum W. T. Wang, A. pendulum Busch, A. flavum Hand. Mazz., A. polyschistum Hand.-Mazz., A. liangshanicum W. T. Wang, A nagarum var. heterotrichum Fletcher et Lauener. Among them, the characters of the root of Aeonitum brachypodum are described in detail and compared with that of the other 6 species as shown in tables 1 and 2.
