STUEIES ON THE ALKALOIDS OF STEPHANIA KWANGSIENSIS H. S. LO

  • Stephania kwangsiensis H. S. Lo is a new species found in the Southwestern region of Guangxi. Six alkaloids were isolated from its root tubers. Five of them were identified as l-tetrahydropalmatine, l-capaurine, d-Isocorydine, l-Roemerine and dehydroroemerine. The sixth one is a new Dehydroaporphine alkaloid named Dehydrostephanine whose structure is found to be l,2-methylenedioxy-8-methoxy-dehydroa-porphine.
