MASS SPECTROGRAPHY ANALYSIS ON THE COMPONENTS OF A SUBSTANCE OBTAINED FROM MALE MUSK-RAT

    Abstract
  • Benzene soluble components of a substance secreted by male muskrat (Ondatra aibethica Linn.)have been investigated by thin-layer chromatography, gas chromatography and mass spectrography. The results show that there are muscone (3-methylcyclopentadecanone) and cycloheptadecanone in the benzene soluble components.
