MORPHOLOGICAL AND HISTOLOGICAL STUDIES ON THE CHINESE MEDICINAL ACONITE ROOTS OF MISCELLANEOUS GROUP

This paper deals with 5 species of medicinal Aconite roots derived from Aconitum coreanum (Lévl.) Rapaics used in Chinese traditional medicine known as Guanbaifu, and the other four, derived from A. jinyangense W. T. Wang, A. ducloxii var. ecalcaratum Fletcher et Lauener, A. ambiguum Reichb. and A. racemulesum Franch. used as folk remedies in southwest and northwest China. The result of the morphological and histological studies of the roots shows that they can be distinguished ,by their transverse sections.
