CHEMICAL STUDIES OF SMILAX GLABRA (Ⅲ). ISOLATION AND IDENTIFICATION OF SMIGLANIN FROM SMILAX GLABLA

On continuing study of the chemical constituents of Smilax glabra, four compounds were isolated,Three of them are known compounds, their structures were elucidated,on the hasis of MS, ¹HNMR,¹³CNMR and ¹³C-¹H-COLOC analysis,as methyisuccinic acld(Ⅰ),syringic acid Ⅱ)and taxiffolin(Ⅲ).The structure of the new compound, named smiglanin Ⅳ),was elucidated as 5,7-dihydroxy-chromone-3-o-α-L-rhamnopyranoside.
