STUDIES ON PHENOLIC GLYCOSIDES ISlOLATED FROM CIMICIFUGA DAHURJCA

Three new amorphous phenolic glycosides ,isocimicifugamideI), cimidahurine(II)and cimidahurinine(III),have been isolated from the rhizomes of Cimicifuga dahurica.Theirchemical structures were established on the hasis of spectral data(IR,MS,¹H and ¹³CNMR,NOEdifference spectra):I,C₂₅H_3/NO₁₀,a_D⁹一46.2°,N-(3'-methoxy-4'- hydroxyphenethy1)-4-O-β-D-galactopyranosyl-isoferulamide, a geometric isomer of cimicifugamide(IV).II.C₁₄H₂₀O₈,a_D¹⁷一51.4°,3,4-dihydroxyl-β-phenethanol-3-O-β-D-galactopyranoside.III,C₁₄H₂₀O₈,a_D17-45.6°,3,4-dihydroxyl-β-phenethanol-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside.The isolation also afforded sucrose(V).
