STUDIES ON PYRIDONECARBOXYLIC ACIDS AS ANTIBACTERIAL AGENTS V. SYNTHESIS AND ANTIBACTERIAL ACTIVITY OF PIVALOYLOXYMETHYL 1-ETHYL-6-FLUORO-1, 4-DIHYDRO-4-OXO-7-(4-METHYL-1-PIPERAZINYL) QUINOLINE-3-CARBOXYLATE AND ITS ANALOGUES

  • Synthesis and antibacterial activity of thirteen new compounds of pivaloyloxymethyl 1-ethyl-6-fluoro-1,4-dihydro-4-oxo-7-(4-methyl-1-piperazinyl)quinoline-3-carboxylate and its analogues were reported. In vivo antibacterial activities (ED50) of Ⅱa, Ⅱj, Ⅱk, Ⅱl, Ⅱm were 3.64, 2.3, 4.17, 3.57, 4(mg/kg) respectively.
