DETERMINATION OF EFFECTIVE CONSTITUENTS IN 11 SWERTIA AND RELATED PLANTS HPLC

    Abstract
  • This paper deals with quantitative determination of three iridoids──swertiama-tin,gentiopicroside ,sweroside and a xanthone──swertianolin in eleven Swertia species and related plants by means of HPLC.μ-Bondapak C18 was used as the stationary phase ,and water─methanol─isopropanol─tetrahydrofuran(65 :30:5:1) as the mobile phase. Analytical results were given.The similarities and diversities of these plants were compared and discussed.
