STUDIES ON THE CHEMICAL CONSTITUENTS OF CONISELINUM V AGINATUM THELL

Seven compounds were isolated from the alcoholic extract of Comiselinum vaginatum Thell.On the basis of their chemical properties and spectral data (MS. UV.IR. ¹H AND ¹³CNMR)they were identified as conioselin,)-3-methoxy-4,5-methylenedioxycinnamic aldehyde(Ⅱ),(E)-3-methoxy -4,5-methylejnedioxycinnamic alcohol(Ⅲ),(E)-3- methoxy- 4 ,5-methylenedioxy-cinnamic acid (Ⅳ),myristicic acid (Ⅴ),ferulic acid (Ⅵ) and vanilin).Compound Ⅰ is a new compound,compounds Ⅱ,Ⅲ,Ⅳ,Ⅴ,Ⅵ and Ⅶ were obtained fOr the first time from the titleplant.
