CHEMICAL INVESTIGATION OF OLDENLANDIA DIFFUSA (WILLD.) ROXB.I.

Four components were isolated in pure state from the alcoholic extract of Bai-Hua-She-She-Cao Oldenlandia diffusa (Willd.) Roxb. family Rubiaceae. They were identified, according to M. P., Mixed M. P., IR-Spectra, and appropriate derivatives, as hentriacontane, Stigmasterol, Ursolic acid, and Oleanolic acid. Three other crystalline substances were also isolated in small quantities with M.P.'s of 138—139℃, 167—168℃ and 211—212℃ (decomp.) respectively. Their identification is now under investigation.
