MORPHOLOGICAL AND HISTOLOGICAL STUDIES OF THE CHINESE DRUG TOU GU CAO

Many plants are used in Chinese medicine as Tougucao among which drugs derived from the following plants are more important: (1) Speranskia tuberculata (Bunge) Baill., (2) Impatiens balsamina L., (3) Incarvillea sinensis Lain., (4) Clematis intricata Bunge and (5) Clematis aethusaefolia Turcz.In this paper, the morphological and histologfcal characters of these drugs are described in detail and illustrated with line-drawings.
