SYNTHESIS OF ANALOGUES OF CONISELIN,A HEPATOPROTECTIVE CONSTITUENT ISOLATED FROM CONISELIUM VAGINATUM THELL

Three compounds with high hepatoprotective activity were isolated from thealcoholic extracts of Coniselium vaginatum Thell.The relationships between structures and activitieswere studied,and fourteen analogues of them were synthesized. The structures of these syntheticpreducts were characterized by elemental analysis,¹HNMR,IR and MS. Pharmacological testsshowed four of them to have some antitumour activity.Hepatoprotective activity is to be tested.
