Abstract
Aim To study the antitumor active constituents of the seeds from Annona glabra L. (Annonaceae). Methods Various chromatographic techniques were used to separate and purify. Their physicochemical properties and spectral data were used to elucidate the structures. Results Eighteen compounds were isolated and identified from the hexane extract of -9. Fourteen of them were identified as annonaceous acetogenins: glabrencin A (1), bullatencin (2), glabrencin B (3), uvariamicin-I (4), uvariamicin-II (5), uvariamicin-III (6), reticulatain-1 (7), desacetyluvaricin (8), 4-deoxyasimicin (9), asimicin (10), bullatacin (11), squamocin (12), motrilin (13), cherimolin-2 (14). The other four ones were identified as stigmasterol (15), a mixture of fatty acid amides: palmitic amide (16), stearic amide (17) and arachidic amide (18). Conclusion Glabrencin A (1) and glabrencin B (3) are new acetogenins. Compounds 2, 4-7, 9, 11, 13, and 16-18 were identified from this plant for the first time.
