STUDIES ON THE ACTIVE CONSTITUENTS OF TIBETAN HERB BIEBERSTEINIA HETEROSTEMON MAXIM.

Seven compounds have been isolated from the Tibetan herb Biebersteinia heterostemon Maxim.On basis of IR ,UV ,NMR ,MS spectral data and chemical methods,their structures wereidentified as :β-sitosterol(Ⅰ) ,daucosterol(Ⅱ), umbelliferone(Ⅲ),5,7,3′-trihydroxy-8,4′,5′-trimethoxyflavone (Ⅳ),glucoluteolin(Ⅴ),quercimeritrin(Ⅵ)and N-3-methyl-2-butenyl urea(Ⅶ).Compounds Ⅳ and Ⅶ are two new natural products.Compound Ⅶ is an active constituent.In pharmacological tests it showed some hypotensive,analgesic and immunity stimulating effects.
