Abstract

The crude alkaloid fraction of vinca rosea contains N-demethylvinblastine which can be transformed to vincristine by formylation, and, therefore, the amount of the latter is increased seven times.Formylation is easy and convient to carry out. The price of reagents is low. The yield was high.
