INFLUENCE OF HOST TISSUES ON THE ANTISCHISTOSOMAL ACTIVITY OF F-30066
-
Abstract
The influence of various tissues of mice and rabbits on the antischistosomal activity of F-30066, a new furacin derivative, was studied. When F-30066 was incubated with the homogenates of liver, brain, intestine, kidney or spleen at 36-37℃ for 15-120 minutes, the antischistosomal activity of the supernatant fluid decreased significantly. When F-30066 was incubated with the erythrocytes of these two animals, the effect of the drug was also found to be decreased in some degree. However, the antischistosomal activity of F-30066 was obviously not affected by the erythrocytes of man or dog.
