ELECTROANALYTICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF CLOMIPRAMINE IN THE PRESENCE OF p-OCTYL-POLYETHYLENE GLYCOL PHENYLETHER(OP)
-
Abstract
The electroanalytical characteristics of clomipramine (CMI)Have been studied. In a pH 7.0 buffer solution containing 0.002% OP,CMI gives a sensitive polarographic wave which can be used to determine trace amounts of the drug, the detection limit being 8.0×10-9mol/L.The cyclic voltammetric data show that the polarographic wave is a parallel catalytic wave and that OP promotes the adsorption of CMI at the mercury electrode。
