STUDIES ON THE CHEMICAL CONSTITUENTS FROM THE PEEL OF ZANTHOXYLUM SCHINIFOLIUM SIEB ET ZUCC

Five compounds have been isolated from the Chinese traditional drug Qinghuajiao (Zanthoxylum schinifolium Sieb et Zucc ). On the basis of UV, IR, ¹HNMR, ¹³CNMR, ¹H-¹H COSY, ¹H-¹³C COSY, NOESY and MS spectroscopic analysis, four of them have been identified as bergarpten (Ⅰ), umbelliferone (Ⅱ), skimmianine (Ⅲ) and schinifoline (Ⅳ) respectively . The compounds Ⅱ , Ⅲ and Ⅳ were obtained for the first time from Zanthoxylum schinifolium, and the last one is a new compound.
