COMMENT ON McCALL'S OBSERVATION METHOD—A DISCUSSION ON THE METHOD OF OBSERVATION OF THE PARTITION EFFICIENCY OF PARTITION CHROMATOGRAPHY

The method proposed by McCall in 1975 for the observation of the partition efficiency of partition chromatography has been used recently. A different point of view about the method is raised by theoretical analysis and practical examination. In this paper, we showed that the"log K" in McCall's method is not a constant but varies with log P. So, we consider that McCall's observation method is neither suitable in theory nor in practice.
