A PRELIMINARY INVESTIGATION OF THE LINEAR COMBINATION METHOD OF ABSORBANCES

Based on simultaneous equations method (including dualwavelength method and signal multiplier method), tri-wavelength method and orthogonal function method, a new computational spectrophotometry-linear combination method of absorbances was proposed.Some comparisons were made between the linear combination method of absorbances and the other methods mentioned above. The proposed method would promise an improvement in accuracy, which was verified both in theory and experiment.
