THE ISOLATION AND STRUCTURE OF ROXBURIC ACID
-
Abstract
A new tetrahydroxy triterpene acid, named roxburic acid (R-7), C(30)H(48)O6, αD18 0°, was isolated from the fruits of Rosa roxburghii Tratt. Its structure was elucidated to bc 2β,3β,7β, 19α-tetrahydroxyurs-12-en-28-oic acid by chemical and spectral evidence.
