EFFECTS OF DIMETHYL TRILOBINE IODIDE(DTI) ON BLOOD PRESSURE OF UNANESTHETIZED AND ACUTE RENAL HYPERTENSIVE RATS

  • In acute renal hypertensive rats, the blood pressure could be reduced from 148.8±7.9 mmHg to 123.6±9.3 mmHg by intravenous injection of dimethyl trilobine iodide (DTI) at the dosage of 0.5 mg/kg. The hypotensive effect persisted more than 40 minutes.DTI also lowered the blood pressure of unanesthetized rats by feeding 3~10 mg/kg daily for 28 days, but it did not affect the SGPT of rats.
