KUMUJANSINE AND KUMUJANTINE, TWO NEW DIMERIC β-CARBOLINE ALKALOIDS FROM PICRASMA QUASSIOIDES (D.DON.) BENN.
-
Abstract
Two new dimeric β-carboline alkaloids, named kumujansine and kumujantine, were isolated from an alcohol extract of the heartwood of Picrasma quassioides (D. Don.) Benn. (Simaroubaceae) by silica gel and alumina column chromatography.Kumujansine hydrochloride was obtained as light yellow granulous crystal, mp 249~250℃ (dec). Its molecular formula is C28H25N4O2Cl. Based on spectral (UV, IR, 1H-NMR, 1H-1H cosy spectrum and 13C-NMR as well as MS) analysis its structure was elucidated as (Ⅰ).Kumujantine hydrochloride is also a light yellow granulous crystal, mp 270℃ (dec). Its molecular formula is C30H29N4O4 Cl. Based on analysis of spectral data its structure was identified as (Ⅱ).
