A STUDY ON THE RESOURCES OF CHINESE PODOPHYLLIN PLANTS

Of all the podophyllin plants, which include 3 genera and about 12 species, the majority (3 genera and about 10 species) has been found in China. All the Chinese species Were show to contain lignans and podophyllotoxin. The content of podophyllotoxin were found to be 2.7～4.2% in Podophyllum emodi, 4.9% in Diphylleia sinensis and less than 1% in 6 species of Dysosma.
